Several ferry companies offer crossings to the island of Port-Cros. Below you?ll find all the essential information, along with a selection of schedules for the 2025 season.

Where and how to take the ferry for a day trip to Port-Cros?

Access to Port-Cros is possible from several towns along the Var coast. Depending on the point of departure, the crossing takes between 30 and 55 minutes.

Port-Cros is a (very) small island, so bringing a car is not an option. Bicycles are also not permitted on the island. If you're hoping to explore by bike, Porquerolles is a better alternative, with numerous trails perfectly suited for mountain biking.

Families and Strollers

While families with young children are welcome, visiting with a stroller is not ideal. You’ll likely be limited to staying near the port, as the island’s paths are mainly rugged trails through hilly terrain—unsuitable for strollers. Again, Porquerolles is the recommended choice for visitors with young children.

With a bit of luck, you may even spot dolphins during the boat ride to Port-Cros.
