The first Olympic football match will take place in Marseille on Wednesday, July 24, at 9 PM, two days before the opening ceremony in Paris. The French team, led by Thierry Henry, will play against the USA, with more than 60,000 spectators expected.
Tickets are still available, starting at 15€ if you buy four.
Recommendations from Paris 2024: “To fully enjoy the event, we invite ticket holders to arrive early at the stadium, with over 60,000 fans expected. We recommend spectators arrive at the gates when they open at 6:30 PM,” state the Paris 2024 teams.

Traffic Restrictions
Boulevard Michelet will be closed to traffic 5 hours before each match, complicating car access.
Public transportation
It is advisable to use public transportation, especially the metro, which has two stations near the stadium.
Jean-Bouin Stand & North Bend: Access via Boulevard Michelet (Jean-Bouin square) and exit at M2 metro station Rond Point du Prado.
Ganay Stand & South Bend: Access via Boulevard Teisseire (Ganay square) and exit at M2 metro station Sainte Marguerite Dromel.
Pedestrian paths are available to cross from one side to the other but require a detour.
Cycling and Scooters
Guarded Free Parking: Free guarded parking for bikes and scooters will be available near the two Olympic sites (limited capacity, online reservations possible). Helmets and bike batteries can be left in the parking area but must be attached to the bike. Open from 1 PM to midnight.
Additional Practical Information
Plastic/metal bottles and flasks are prohibited.
No lockers are available around the stadium.
Due to expected high temperatures, hydration, sunscreen, and a hat/cap are recommended.

Volunteers from the City of Marseille will be present around the stadium to guide the public.
